Is this old man up to no good?

Okay so last night I went to the store where this sweet old man is a security guard there he's gotta be in his 60s or 70s. I see him all the time and he always smiles but this time he acted like he knew me and hugged me and started talking asking what I been up to.. I told him work and where I work at ( a restrant) he told me he was gonna come by me dinner and that he was a detective to and he was like if u need anything let me know so he pulled his wallet out cuz he didn't know his number by heart and we exchanged. Alot more was said and when I was leavin he told me to e careful cuz many guys would try to take advantage of me cuz I have a beautiful personality, well he accidently called today so I called back and he was asking when I was going back to the store and that he wanted to take me to the casino and video bingo... After he asked how old I was (I'm 18) and he said I love you before hanging up? Anybody know what this dudes deal is? I think he is just lonely and my bf thinks he's a perv .. Opinions please!
