How can i stop blow back of smoke from wood burner?

A couple things can cause this. When you start the fire, hold a piece of burning paper inside to start a proper draft up the chimney. If you have ceiling fans, this can also pull the smoke from the stove. You may have a "tight" house and need to crack a window near the unit to give the fire more air flow.
