Any guess on what will happen to all people who are about to be cut off from unemployment?

MSNBC had an article stating that 1.7 million would lose their beneits by the end of this week, and then another 4 million by the end of month. Not to be morbid, but I can't help but wonder what will happen to these people. I'm willing to bet very few of them have money saved.
